The library recommends that you check the individual museum's web site calendar or call ahead prior to visiting
to be certain that the museum or the area of the museum you plan to visit will be open.
Especially given the current pandemic, many museums are limiting hours or are still closed at this time.
And many require online reservations using their websites.

The Connecticut Department of Revenue Services (DRS) is NOT sending printed forms or instructions to libraries this year.
You can download Forms and Instructions using this link to the DRS website.

You are welcome to contact DRS at the phone number below to request tax forms, booklets, and instructions that DRS maintains in-house and can mail directly to your home address.

Temporary Library Card

Portland residents can register online as a patron of our library and get temporary access to request materials and use some online resources. If you do not visit Portland Library to complete the registration process within 30 days, this account will be deleted. Please bring proof of residency, such as a photo ID, utility bill, or other official mail, to the library and we will then provide you with your physical library card.
Automatic Renewals are so convenient!
Any item checked out at the Portland Library and eligible for renewal will be automatically renewed.
If you have an email associated with your account. You will receive an email listing the items that have been renewed. You will also continue to receive a courtesy email alerting you that your items will be coming due. We hope this service will
