Celebrating Youth Art Month with Portland Secondary Schools

Youth Art Month takes place every March to emphasize the importance of all the arts for children. Thousands of schools, art educators, and children across all age groups and across our country participate in activities around Youth Art Month. Come celebrate with Portland Secondary Schools! Additionally, Celebration of the Visual Arts will open on April 25, 2024 in the Grand Hallway of Portland Middle School and features artwork from all Portland Public Schools - Kindergarten through Grade 12.
This year's Portland Public Library exhibit features the work of selected first semester students in grade 7 -12 visual art classes including the High School after school art club. Youth Art Month is celebrated nationally in March every year. This is an important event that celebrates all things related to the arts and arts education for youth and has been celebrated across our nation since 1961. We are thrilled to host this exhibit which runs March 7 - April 3.
Additionally, Celebration of the Visual Arts will open on April 25, 2024 in the Grand Hallway of Portland Middle School and features artwork from all Portland Public Schools - Kindergarten through Grade 12.
