How to Look at Your
Patron Information

In My Account, information about current library transactions can be viewed.  This page allows you to review bills, checkouts, and current hold requests. From the My Account page you can cancel holds, view library messages and requests, and reply to library messages.  A personal identification number (PIN) can be changed or checked-out materials can be renewed.

Every authorized library user has a user record, which identifies the user and contains information about the user's circulation activity.  Each user record also contains a personal identification number (PIN) which ensures that library activity is confidential.  Your PIN is CHANGEME unless you have chosen a different one. If the PIN you enter does not work, please contact a library staff member.

To view My Account you must be in iBistro, the Library's catalog.  To view the catalog, click on Online Catalog in the red bar at the top of the screen.  If you haven't already logged in, you may be prompted to log in when you attempt to change information in My Account.  This login is only valid for the duration of the current transaction.

Review Your Account

1.  Select My Account from the rootbar.
2.  Select Review My Account.
3.  Log in, if required.

Change Your PIN
1.  Select My Account from the rootbar.
2.  Select Change My PIN.
3.  Type in your user ID or alternate ID.
4.  Type in your current PIN.
5.  Enter your new PIN twice, in the two designated areas. Your new PIN   should not exceed 10 characters.
6.  Click Change PIN to send the information to the library or Reset to start over.

Cancel a Hold
1.  Select My Account from the rootbar.
2.  Select Review My Account.
3.  Log in, if required.
4.  In the Holds box of your account information, check the Cancel checkbox for the hold items to be canceled.
5.  Click Cancel Selected Holds to cancel the selected holds.

Renew Materials
1.  Select My Account from the rootbar.
2.  Select Renew My Materials.
3.  Log in, if required.
4.  Click the Renew Selected Items or the Renew All radio button.
5.  Click Renew Selected Items to renew your materials or Clear Selections to start over.
Please Note:  Not all items may be renewable.  High Demand items, items other patrons have put on reserve, or items that have been previously renewed are not renewable.  Please contact the Portland Library at 860-342-6770 if you have questions or were not successful in renewing your items.
